The Great Depression in the U.S began on what we now call "Black Tuesday" with the Wall Street crash late in November 1929 and from there, it got spread world wide. The market crashed in the beginning of a decade of high unemplyment, low profits, lost opportuities for personal advancement and more. But still, most of the reasons for The Great Depression is still uknown. But the basic cause was a sudden loss of confidence in the economic future. The depression caused major political changes.
The economy eventually recovered from its low point of the winter of 1932-1933, to an improvement in 1937.
